About Us
A Tale of Two Companies - Brief History
The merging of two companies has become today’s G & L Tool Corp. For Bob & Judy Asselin, it all began in the basement of their home with literally no place to go but up. In 1984, G & L moved to an 1800 square-foot facility in West Springfield, MA. Meanwhile, Dave Smith exercised his entrepreneurial spirit via Accumatic, based in the nearby community of Agawam.
In 1989, these two small contract machine shops recognized the value of joining forces and consummated their energy, enthusiasm, technical know-how, and business savvy. Through the efforts of Bob Asselin, Judy Asselin, Dave Smith, and company, the facilities and abilities of G & L Tool are now at their most effective and efficient levels ever.
